Getting Started Steps
Sign in to your IO River account and follow the instructions below to setup your account.
Step 1: Create a Certificate
You first need to create a certificate for your domain. This certificate will be used later when creating your first service. Follow the steps here to create your first certificate.
Step 2: Add you CDN Accounts
In this step you will add your CDN accounts. IO River manages your CDN accounts via APIs, therefore, you will need to provide credentials for accessing your CDN provider via API. To add a CDN provider to your account, follow the steps described here.
Step 3: Create your first IO River Service
You are about to create your first IO River service. A service in IO River represents a portion of your traffic. As part of creating the service, you will also add the CDN accounts fron the previous step to your service. Follow the steps described here to create your first service.
Step 4: Setup the Default Traffic Policy
In this step you will decide how to distribute your traffic between the CDN providers. You should start by configuring the default traffic policy, and you can continue with creating additional policies. To create a traffic policy follow the steps described here.
Step 5: Direct Traffic to your Service
If you are done with configuring your service, you can direct your end-users traffic to this service. In order to do so, you should setup a CNAME record for your domain with the CNAME of your service. Follow the steps described here to test your service.
